Last week I finished reading Ethel and Ernest by Raymond Briggs - you know, the one who did The Snowman, Father Christmas, Fungus the Bogeyman etc. An amazing book that'll make you laugh and cry. It's the story of his parents' life, and it made me reflect again on life and death and how our lives are a story.

Still struggling through [url=http://www-cs-faculty.stanford.edu/~knuth/]Knuth{/url] volume 3. Stopped understanding part way into volume 1. (Not a large part either.)

On 04.02.2003, davidb said: I'm reading 'On Christian Theology' by Rowan Williams (it's a collection of his academic papers). There's been such a mixed response to him getting his job that I thought I'd figure out what I think of his views myself. So far I've read about 30%, and it's quite inspiring

Did you finish it? Did it change you?
